    Nipa Shah

President and founder of Jenesys Group

Nipa Shah is president of Jenesys Group, a leading provider of social media monitoring and digital marketing solutions. She handles strategies for Jenesys Group’s global clients. As a frequent speaker at conferences and networking events, she talks about topics pertaining to social networking such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogging and Search Engine Optimization.

Under Nipa’s guidance and entrepreneurial vision, Jenesys Group has achieved a 200% revenue growth over the past 12 months.

In addition to her own company, Nipa also founded the Michigan India Chamber of Commerce, which is now known as the Michigan International Chamber of Commerce — a networking organization to facilitate professional and personal networking.

With over 18 years of experience in technology, procurement and marketing at General Motors Corporation, Nipa was honored with the National Association of Women Business Owners’ Top 10 award for her role as a global business leader.

Her undergraduate degree is in Biochemistry and she has a Masters degree in Information Technology Management. Nipa now resides with her family in Novi, Michigan.

“Getting a Master's degree with honors even as I had two kids under the age of seven waiting at home; a full-time managerial job at General Motors; and maintaining a busy social life was my biggest accomplishment," stated this award-winning entrepreneur.

When asked if she could change one thing, she had to fight the urge to give me several answers. “If there is only one thing I could change, then I'd stop girls from getting sold and exploited by traffickers,” notes Nipa.

Mother Teresa, the person who has most influenced Nipa’s life, would be proud of her strong desire to stop human trafficking. But the list doesn't end there. Nipa adds that she is not only influenced by “Mother Teresa because of her selflessness, (but also) Nelsen Mandela for his perseverance, (and) Indira Gandhi for her pure grit, and Dalai Lama for his positivity and tolerance.”

So what don’t we know about this successful founder? “I am a pencil artist and am really, really good at it. However, I have only created 7-8 drawings in the past 25 years and have never thought about pursuing it further. I perhaps should….”

We look forward to Nipa drawing us a picture of her vision of the new world without human trafficking and with more people like Mother Teresa, Mandela and the Dali Lama in it.
