Hariharan Celebrates Five Decades In Music With New Album

MUMBAI: Super talented singer Hariharan has released his new album, ‘Jaan Meri’, marking five decades of ghazal mastery. The album has been penned by Farhat Shahzad.

The album features soulful tracks such as ‘Baat Se Baat’, ‘Bas Mere Khwab’, ‘Chala Gaya’, the title track ‘Jaan Meri’, and ‘Lahu’. All compositions and vocals are rendered by Hariharan.

Hariharan described the unveiling as an emotional milestone. Sharing the album with close friends and family, he said it felt like the culmination of a two and a half year journey. Having loved ones witness what he calls the birth of Ghazal Nova made it especially meaningful. He added that it was a proud moment to present music that preserves traditional roots while embracing a fresh, global sound.

Karan Hariharan said releasing the project after months of work was both surreal and nerve wracking. Showing it first to friends and family made him anxious about how it would be received, but curiosity soon replaced the nerves. He said he was eager to see how the video affected viewers and what emotions it stirred, calling that response the most exciting part.
