NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his debut appearance on Nikhil Kamath’s ‘People’ podcast series, offering a rare glimpse into his personal experiences, early life, and professional journey.
During their conversation, Kamath joked about the Prime Minister’s connection to Italy, mentioning pizza as his favorite food. “Pizza is from Italy. People say you know a lot about Italy,” Kamath said with a smile. Modi responded playfully to the topic of memes, saying, “Vo toh chalta rehta hai. Main usmein apna time kharab nahi karta” (That’s just how things go. I don’t waste my time on that).
The discussion shifted to PM Modi’s culinary habits, where he shared that he is not a foodie. “I’m not a foodie at all. Whatever is served to me, I eat it happily, no matter where I am,” he explained. He admitted that he struggles with choosing food at restaurants. “If you give me a menu, I can’t decide what to order. I don’t understand much about it,” Modi revealed.
In a lighter moment, Modi fondly recalled his early years with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and how the late Arun Jaitley often helped him with food choices. “I would ask Arun ji to decide for me, with one condition—it had to be vegetarian,” he shared.
