LOS ANGELES, CA (ANI)– The 97th Academy Awards were not just about films but also about fashion, with Indian designers making a striking impact on Hollywood’s most prestigious event.

Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, dazzled in a red saree by celebrated Indian designer Sabyasachi, accessorized with an elegant statement necklace and earrings from Sabyasachi High Jewellery.

Thai singer and actress Lalisa Manoban also embraced Indian fashion during her performance at the 2025 Oscars, wearing a black tonal leotard from Rahul Mishra’s Spring Couture 2025 collection, ‘Gaian Genesis.’

Filmmaker Karan Johar turned heads at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in a sharp, all-black suit by designer Gaurav Gupta. A behind-the-scenes video posted by Diet Sabya on Instagram showcased Johar’s meticulous preparation for the event. His sleek after-party look featured a tailored black suit with golden accents, adding a touch of luxury to his ensemble.

The Oscars, which concluded on March 3, saw Anora dominate the night with five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Directed by Sean Baker, the film also won Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Actress for Mikey Madison.
