Indian American Groups Win Best Float Award At Fremont, CA, July 4 Parade

FREMONT, CA – The Festival of Globe, the Federation of Indo-Americans, and the Fremont Hindu Temple & Cultural Center won the Best Float Award at the City of Fremont’s Fourth of July Parade, held as part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The award recognized the float for its creativity, presentation and community participation during the annual Independence Day parade, which drew thousands of residents.

Americans4Hindus said the float highlighted themes of liberty, democracy, opportunity, unity, and the American Dream while recognizing the contributions of Indian Americans and Hindu Americans to the country.

The press statement credited hundreds of volunteers for designing, decorating and presenting the float and the leadership of parade chairman K. P. Maheshwari, Ritu Maheshwari and the volunteer team for coordinating the award-winning entry.
