Abhinaya Dance Company’s premiere of Kolam: At the Threshold

Experience the world premiere of Kolam: At the Threshold, a new full-length Bharatanatyam production by Abhinaya Dance Company. Choreographed by Rasika Kumar, the 80-minute performance draws inspiration from the South Indian tradition of kolam-intricate rice-flour designs created at the entrance of homes. Through Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, spoken word, and geometric stage design, the production explores themes of ritual, cultural memory, identity, migration, and the evolving meaning of tradition.
