Business Group Marks America250 With 250 Pound Cake

TYSONS CORNER, VA – The Indian American Business Impact Group (IAMBIG) marked the 250th anniversary of American Independence with a community celebration in Tysons Corner, Virginia, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, elected officials, veterans, youth and families.

More than 200 people attended the July 15 event, which focused on the role of the community while commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.

A 250-pound commemorative cake was cut to mark the milestone.

Former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe joined U.S. Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-VA), U.S. Rep. Jennifer Kiggans (R-VA), U.S. Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) and former Ohio state senator Niraj Antani, participated in the program and shared messages with attendees.

IAMBIG said the event reflected its focus on bringing together the business community while recognizing the achievements and contributions of Indian Americans.
