Ishani Dave Releases New Garba Song For Navratri
MUMBAI- Gujarati singer Ishani Dave has released her Garba track ‘Ghor Andhari’, a devotional song celebrating Ambe Maa and the traditions of Navratri.
The song blends Gujarati folk traditions with devotional themes and vibrant Garba rhythms, seeking to preserve the festival’s cultural essence while appealing to contemporary audiences.
“Navratri is not just a festival for me. It is a part of my roots, my faith, and my upbringing. Ghor Andhari is my humble offering to Ambe Maa, born from the devotion, traditions, and Garba that have been passed down through generations,” Dave said.
“With this song, we wanted to bring those timeless roots into a joyful, fresh sound that speaks to today’s generation, while keeping the soul of our traditional Garba intact. I hope listeners feel the devotion of Maa, the joy of Garba, and that beautiful connection to our roots every time they hear Ghor Andhari,” she added.
Composer Maulik Mehta said the song was conceived to capture Garba’s spiritual power while offering a fresh and uplifting sound. He said Dave’s voice brings authenticity and emotional depth to the track, which aims to connect with both traditional and modern audiences.
Sujal Parekh, chief business officer of Zee Music Company, said Navratri and Garba hold a special place in Gujarati culture. He said the song brings together devotion, tradition and the festive energy of Garba, with the aim of making it part of celebrations in Gujarat and among Gujarati communities around the world.
Composed by Mehta and written by lyricist Pratik Ahir, ‘Ghor Andhari’ features Dave’s vocals and combines traditional Gujarati folk influences with contemporary musical elements. (IANS)

Navaratra honoring the Adishakti is essence of Hindu philosophy. Many may not know this but it also has scientific significance. Please read the following:
October 9, 2026Here is the scientific as well as the philosophical reason why we have such a reverence for
mother. According to Saivat philosophy Shiva is the creator and is represented by a bindu that is
formless or has no attributes. Shiva is an unexpressed form or Purusha or potential, and Shakti,
the divine feminine principle, his other half is a dynamic presentation of the universe.
Shakti literally means ENERGY. According to biochemical science we know that we human
beings derive energy by metabolizing food through cellular processes. The end stage of this
energy formation takes place in subcellular organelles called MITOCHONDRIA. They generate
most of our energy in the form pf ATP. These organelles in human beings are derived from
mother only. Father does not contribute mitochondria at the beginning of life. Hence, no matter
what we do, it is the feminine Shakti, in the dynamic form in the universe that allows us to enjoy
and appreciate the life! This emphasizes our understanding of Shakti which is so ancient! It also
tells us that every day is Mother’s Day!
