Anmol Bishnoi, Brother Of Gangster Lawrence, Arrested In California

NEW DELHI – Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was arrested in California by the US Immigration Department when it was found that he had a forged document on him.

The Indian Express said that officials of the FBI’s New Delhi office have met Indian security officials and discussed the possibility of his deportation/extradition. It is reported that Anmol, 25, has filed for asylum.

Other details were not forthcoming.

Despite being incarcerated, Lawrence Bishnoi continues to lead a global criminal syndicate, and Anmol is wanted in connection with several high-profile cases.

He is linked to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022, the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique last month, and the shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence in June 2024. Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice for his arrest.

Anmol Bishnoi, originally from Punjab’s Fazilka, had previously fled India using a fake passport and was believed to be in Canada. In 2022, the Bishnoi brothers, along with others, were accused of plotting to fund and recruit youth for “terrorist acts” in Delhi and other regions of India.
