Kamala Harris Considering California Governor Run, Decision In Few Months

LOS ANGELES, CA – Former Vice President Kamala Harris is weighing a potential run for governor of California and has set a personal deadline to make her decision in the coming months, Politico reports.
In conversations with close allies and advisers, Harris has indicated she is seriously evaluating whether to enter the race to succeed Governor Gavin Newsom, who is nearing the end of his term. A successful gubernatorial campaign would likely sideline any plans for a 2028 presidential bid, though Harris has not ruled that out entirely, Politico notes.
Those familiar with her thinking say Harris has long been intrigued by the prospect of leading the world’s fifth-largest economy and making history as the first Black woman to serve as a U.S. governor. Her recent public engagements suggest she is positioning herself as a continued force within the Democratic Party, both in California and on the national stage.
Meanwhile, she has kept a core team of trusted aides intact through her new political operation, Pioneer49. Among them are Chief of Staff Sheila Nix and senior advisers Kirsten Allen and Ike Irby, while longtime strategists Brian Nelson, Minyon Moore, and former White House Chief of Staff Lorraine Voles remain part of her inner circle. In California, political operatives are standing by for word on whether she will take the plunge, Politico adds.
While no formal campaign structure has been assembled, Harris’ deliberations signal that a decision is on the horizon.

The worst possible candidate- her ambition is boundless despite her landslide loss. She is a pathetic candidate who gave Presidency to Trump on a silver platter. Despite $1.5 billion campaign chest, she squandered to define what she stood for. She was even incapable of giving media interviews while Trump ran the media shows. She worshipped grossly incompetent Biden while he destroyed his party.

Kamala Harris is an extraordinarily bright, capable, and politically savvy woman. She ran and managed a fine run for the White House, but the Democratic Party’s loss cannot be completely attributed to her. The prep time was too narrow for a long campaign. Trump has been running for the same office for more than four years. After you assess the campaign critically, you will agree that about 10% of the voters in the United States are racists and misogynists. They would not vote for a non-white female, a daughter of recent immigrants, no matter what. They were the swing votes and were successful. The Democratic Party could not neutralize this group, the result was not very happy for most reasonable people.
