AAVIO Advances Veterinary Practice, Global Service At NE Chapter Gathering

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The American Association of Veterinarians of Indian Origin (AAVIO) hosted its Northeast Chapter meeting on October 12, bringing together veterinary professionals to explore emerging market trends, innovations, and best practices in the field.
Kim Hutchinson of Merck Animal Health shared valuable market insights, while Dr. Nikhil Joshi introduced Bravecto Quantum, a new injectable flea and tick preventive designed to improve treatment efficiency and client compliance.
AAVIO President Dr. Ravi Murarka underscored the association’s global outreach, highlighting the success of the Mission Rabies “Rabies Mukt Bharat” campaign in India, which has vaccinated more than 14,000 stray dogs—an important milestone toward the nation’s goal of eliminating rabies by 2030.
The meeting also focused on practical aspects of veterinary practice. Shrikant Mankar presented key cybersecurity strategies to safeguard clinic operations, and Dr. Sangeeta Bafna discussed growing client interest in holistic care, emphasizing the integration of natural, chemical-free products into veterinary treatment plans.
