Iran Says US Strike Targeted Plane Scheduled To Collect Aid From India

India-West News Desk

NEW DELHI -A Mahan Air aircraft scheduled to travel to New Delhi to collect humanitarian medical supplies was struck in a United States airstrike at Mashhad Airport, according to Iranian sources cited by ANI.

The aircraft was preparing to transport aid from India, including medicines. The planned mission follows an earlier shipment delivered by India to the Iranian Red Crescent Society this month, as the country faces pressure on its healthcare system amid the ongoing conflict.

Iran has declined mediation efforts, including proposals from Pakistan, and has continued retaliatory actions targeting infrastructure in Israel and Gulf states.

In a separate development, Iran launched missiles toward Israel carrying messages of gratitude to countries that have supported Tehran, including one addressed to the people of India.

The United States and Israel have continued military pressure on Iranian targets while also indicating the possibility of negotiations. The tensions have raised concerns in global energy markets, particularly over potential disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
