Air India Flight To DC Stranded In Vienna By Technical Snag
NEW DELHI (IANS)- Air India Flight AI 103 from Delhi to Washington, D.C., was canceled on July 3 due to a technical snag encountered by the aircraft during its scheduled fuel stop in Vienna, the airline confirmed.
Flight AI 103, which departed Delhi at 12:45 a.m. on July 2 and was set to arrive in Washington at 8:45 p.m. on July 3, was grounded in Vienna. Consequently, the return flight, AI 104 from Washington, D.C. to Delhi via Vienna, was also canceled.
According to an Air India spokesperson, “During routine aircraft checks, an extended maintenance task was identified, which required rectification before the next flight and, thus, additional time for completion.” This led to the cancellation of the Vienna to Washington, D.C. leg, and passengers were disembarked.
This incident is one of several recent Air India flight cancellations due to technical issues.
