
Akshay Bhatia Tied Fourth At Charles Schwab Challenge

FORT WORTH, TX (ANI)– Golfer Akshay Bhatia finished the third round of the Charles Schwab Challenge tied for fourth place, despite a challenging end to his round. He is currently five shots behind co-leaders Ben Griffin and Matt Schmid.
Bhatia carded a 1-under 69, bringing his total to 8-under par. His round included a strong start with consecutive birdies on the first two holes and additional birdies on the 10th and 11th. However, he struggled towards the end, dropping shots with bogeys on the 14th, 15th, and 17th.
Griffin and Schmid maintained their shared lead, each posting a 2-under 68, to reach 13-under par. Rickie Fowler sits in sole third place at 9-under after a 67.
World number one Scottie Scheffler made a significant leap, firing a 6-under 64 to move into a tie for seventh, seven shots off the pace. Scheffler, aiming for his third consecutive victory, showcased an impressive front nine with four birdies and an eagle on the 11th, though he experienced some bogeys later in his round.
