Ambassador Kwatra Meets US House Speaker Johnson

WASHINGTON, DC-India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, held talks with US House Speaker Mike Johnson at Capitol Hill on January 6.
Kwatra noted India’s gratitude for the Speaker’s “solidarity with India’s counter-terrorism efforts,” a message he conveyed directly to Johnson during their discussion.
He briefed the Speaker on defense and security cooperation, energy trade and advanced technology collaborations, including artificial intelligence, he posted.
The Indian envoy also touched on trade negotiations, stressing India’s interest in achieving “a fair, balanced and mutually beneficial trade deal” with the United States.
