INGLEWOOD, CA – Rapper and hitmaker Badshah participated in the 2026 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The event, held on February 13 at the Kia Forum here, saw the musician transition from a lifelong basketball enthusiast to an active player on one of the sport’s most high-profile entertainment stages.

Badshah told his followers that while he had always hoped to see an NBA court in person, the reality exceeded his expectations. “Always wanted to see an NBA basketball court live at least once in my life. And when it finally happened… I didn’t even see the court, I walked straight onto it to play,” he wrote, describing the moment as the realization of a childhood dream.

Previously Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh had had turn at the NBA All-Star in 2022 and 2023 in Cleveland and Salt Lake City.

Badshah teamed up with actor Simu Liu and creator Cody Jones. The team was mentored by a diverse coaching staff featuring Emmy-winning actor Anthony Anderson, alongside renowned trainers Chris Brickley and Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews. They faced an opposing roster led by comedian Keegan-Michael Key, which included Olympic sprinter Andre De Grasse, NFL star Amon-Ra St. Brown, music producer DJ Mustard, and football legend Cafu.

Prior to the tip-off, Badshah described the league to the media as a “dream world,” making his participation a deeply personal milestone. He emphasized that his presence was intended to break boundaries and create “new firsts,” while carrying the energy of Indian fans and the domestic hip-hop scene onto a global platform.
