Biden To Campaign With Harris

WASHINGTON, DC (News Agencies) – President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to make their first joint campaign appearance since Biden’s unexpected decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. They will be in Maryland, near Washington, D.C., on August 15 to highlight their efforts to reduce costs for Americans. The White House has stated that more details about the event will be provided later.

Despite a mostly low-profile presence, he is now stepping up to back Harris, particularly in crucial battleground states like Pennsylvania and Michigan, where his popularity remains significant, especially among older white voters. The campaign seems to want his help there.

Biden has been vocal about the need to prevent a repeat of the unrest following the 2020 election when Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol. In his first interview since his decision to exit the race, Biden expressed concerns about a peaceful transfer of power if Trump were to lose again.

In addition to his campaign efforts, Biden is also focused on pushing for a ceasefire to end the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, an issue that remains contentious within the Democratic Party.

Biden and Harris have had several joint appearances since his decision to step down from the reelection race on July 21. They recently traveled to Joint Base Andrews to welcome home Americans wrongfully detained in Russia and have held discussions on the Middle East situation in the Situation Room.

As Biden’s presidency winds down, his participation in the campaign will mainly involve a limited schedule in the fall, ensuring the focus remains on Harris while he continues to advocate for his legacy and key policy issues.

  • Hope Harris team comprehends the political scenario. She cannot afford to hang around Biden- she needs to define herself. Biden’s mishandling of border and inflation alienated many Democrats and independents. She needs them back to win swing states, otherwise it would be a landslide loss,
