Pankaj Tripathi: Relationships Are Complex, Love Isn’t Underrated

MUMBAI (IANS)– Pankaj Tripathi, who is gearing up for the release of his film “Metro…In Dino,” believes that while love itself hasn’t become underrated, relationships have grown increasingly complex due to the demanding nature of modern life.

Tripathi explained his perspective, drawing an analogy with currency. He noted that currency was invented to simplify life and transactions, but in the process of earning it, life has ironically become more difficult. He applies this idea to relationships, stating that the fast pace of urban life, particularly in metro cities, contributes significantly to this complexity. When both partners are working, they often lack sufficient time for each other, leading to a constant state of “hurry and worry” about jobs and careers.

He identifies the human mind as the root of relationship problems. Initially, in the early stages of romance, minor differences or habits might seem endearing. However, as time progresses, these same behaviors—like a wet towel left on the bed—can become sources of irritation and conflict. Tripathi emphasizes that marriage brings together two distinct individuals with naturally different ways of thinking, including biological differences, and this clash of individual minds contributes to the overall complexity.

Despite these challenges, Tripathi strongly asserts that “love is not outdated at all.” He believes that love is a fundamental human need and the very reason people seek new connections after one relationship ends. “The world exists because of love,” he said, suggesting that people ultimately search for love, even if it’s disguised in other pursuits like money.
