GOP’s Janak Joshi Announces Senate Run In Colorado

DENVER, CO – Dr. Janak Joshi, a retired physician and former Colorado state legislator, has officially declared his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, setting up a challenge to incumbent Democratic Senator John Hickenlooper.
In his campaign announcement, Joshi, a Republican, highlighted his personal story as a central theme of his bid. “I arrived in America legally and with nothing but a suitcase and $100,” Joshi said. He attributes his success as a physician and his life in Colorado to the “American dream,” a concept he claims is under threat from “career politicians like John Hickenlooper.”
Joshi’s campaign is positioning him as a staunch fiscal conservative with a history of opposing tax and spending increases during his time in the Colorado House of Representatives. He served in the state legislature from 2011 to 2017, representing districts in Colorado Springs. He has previously run for other offices, including a bid for Colorado’s 8th congressional district in 2024.
Joshi’s platform is built on what he describes as “conservative values,” including supporting law and order and opposing what he calls the “woke liberal agenda.” He earned his M.S. from the University of Northern Colorado and his M.D. from Gujarat University.
Hickenlooper, who was first elected to the Senate in 2020, has a long political career, including serving as the mayor of Denver and as the governor of Colorado. He has announced his intention to seek re-election and has stated that this will be his final campaign for the Senate.

Great , law and Order – wonder what he has to say about Jan 6th? ‘Tax and Spend’ – its getting old, Republicans spend and screw up the economy ( remember the market crashes?) and Democrats come to the rescue.
