OAKLAND, CA – During his “The Unfinished Tour” concert here, singer Badshah expressed solidarity with the victims of the devastating floods in Punjab. The artist delivered a message of hope and resilience, emphasizing the need for unity as the state recovers from the monsoon-induced crisis that has caused extensive damage to crops and infrastructure.

Addressing the audience, Badshah referenced Punjab’s historical strength, stating, “We fall and rise again, will rise again. The courage will be bigger. Not by saying but we will do and show it.” He acknowledged the long road to recovery, noting that the state might require “one or two years to stand back again,” but stressed that Punjab’s “Chardikala” (ever-optimistic spirit) would see it through. He added that the farmers who feed the nation deserve complete support, a sentiment he later echoed on social media, writing “United we stand” alongside a concert clip.

According to government figures, the floods resulted in 56 fatalities and untold damage to crops and cattle. (ANI)
