WASHINGTON, DC – Indian and U.S. investigators are set to convene in Washington D.C. next week to jointly review evidence from the fatal Air India crash in June, according to a December 6 report by Bloomberg News.

A team from India will travel to the United States to examine material compiled by the National Transportation Safety Board and to present its own analysis, including details drawn from the aircraft’s cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder, the report said, citing people with knowledge of the discussions.

The session is scheduled to take place at NTSB headquarters, where representatives from other involved parties, including Boeing, are also expected to attend.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, flying from Ahmedabad to London, lost thrust and altitude moments after takeoff. Of the 242 passengers and crew, only one survived. Nineteen people on the ground were also killed.
