Jaideep Ahlawat Embraces Privacy, Keeps Social Media At Bay

NEW DELHI (ANI)- Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his compelling performances in Raazi and the hit series Paatal Lok, recently shared his thoughts on privacy, social media pressures, and the growing media obsession with celebrities’ personal lives.

Ahlawat, who keeps a low profile, spoke candidly about the challenges of living in the public eye and why he chooses to stay away from social media frenzy.

When asked about the paparazzi’s relentless focus on celebrity children, such as Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s sons, Taimur and Jeh, he expressed his discomfort. “After a while, it feels strange… You don’t want that pressure on kids, on the family. And in times of tragedy, you definitely don’t want it.”

On the role of social media in today’s celebrity culture, Ahlawat made it clear that he has no interest in sharing the details of his personal life.

“I’m not that kind of person. I don’t want to tell everyone what I’m eating, what I’m drinking, where I’m sleeping,” he said, admitting that maintaining an online presence often feels like a burden.

“I get scared. I feel that extra weight on my mind,” he confessed, adding that even work-related posts can be exhausting.

When asked if he engages in making reels or attending events to maintain his public image, Ahlawat was firm: “No. I don’t go to parties, I don’t make or share reels.”

He reflected on the old-school charm of stardom, which thrived on mystery and intrigue, contrasting it with today’s culture of constant visibility. While he isn’t against social media, he believes it should be used professionally rather than as a personal indulgence.

“Keep social media as social. Don’t make it personal. It’s okay,” he said, emphasizing that work-related content should take priority.

Ahlawat is currently earning praise for his role as Hathiram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok Season 2, which premiered on January 17 on Prime Video.
