Kailash Kher Criticizes The Decline Of Meaningful Lyrics In Music
NEW DELHI, (ANI) – Singer Kailash Kher, renowned for his spiritually uplifting and emotionally resonant music, shared heartfelt reflections on the state of the music industry during the launch of the Bhagva app in New Delhi on the evening of April 18.
Performing with his band Kailasa, Kher enthralled the audience with some of his most iconic songs. Yet, it was his candid commentary on the direction of contemporary music that truly resonated.
“People today want everything—happiness, peace, even fun—in a hurry. But peace never comes in a hurry,” Kher remarked.
He expressed concern over the lack of depth in modern songwriting. “Some so-called intellectuals have changed. They’re writing things without head or tail—just rushing through,” he said.
Reflecting on earlier times, Kher added, “There was art and simplicity. And when presented with craft, it used to touch hearts.”
The Bhagva app is designed to support users in their spiritual practices, offering features such as puja bookings, jaap services, horoscope updates, and detailed panchang information for identifying auspicious timings.
