Kartik Aaryan Is Visibly Moved On Winning Acting Award
MUMBAI—It was a night of heartfelt emotions and mutual admiration at the 2025 Filmfare Awards in Ahmedabad, as actors Kartik Aaryan and Abhishek Bachchan shared the spotlight while receiving the ‘Best Actor – Male’ trophy.
Kartik Aaryan, honored for his inspiring portrayal in ‘Chandu Champion’, was visibly moved as he accepted his first-ever Filmfare Best Actor award in the presence of his parents. Overwhelmed, he reflected on his journey from a small-town boy dreaming of the stage to a celebrated actor, saying, “This hits different when you remember where you started… every emotion I’d ever felt found its voice. I didn’t just speak that night, I felt every word. This speech wasn’t prepared. It was live.”
He thanked director Kabir Singh for guiding him through the two-year-long project, calling him “one of the finest directors of Indian cinema” and praising his ability to “create worlds, not just frames.” Kartik also acknowledged the “support of Sajid Sir and Vardha Ma’am” and dedicated the award to his parents, fans, and fellow dreamers, urging them to persevere.
The evening took an even more touching turn when Kartik and Abhishek Bachchan shared the stage together. Abhishek, winning for his performance in ‘I Want To Talk’, called Kartik “the future of Bollywood” and congratulated him warmly in front of the audience. Kartik responded by calling Abhishek his inspiration, citing his years of admiration and the lessons in patience and perseverance from the veteran actor. The exchange drew loud applause, highlighting a rare moment of mutual respect and camaraderie in the industry. (IANS)
