NOIDA — Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the world’s fifth-largest jewelry retailer, marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of its 400th showroom here. The launch event was led by M.P. Ahammed, Chairman of Malabar Group, alongside top leadership from the company’s India operations and senior executives.
The Noida showroom’s opening reflects the brand’s aggressive global expansion strategy and its ambition to strengthen its footprint both across India and internationally. Headquartered in India, Malabar Gold & Diamonds now operates in 13 countries, serving over 15 million customers annually with a product portfolio of more than 100,000 jewelry designs.
“This milestone is a testament to our growth ambitions and marks a significant step in our journey to become the No. 1 global jewellery retailer,” said Ahammed. “We plan to open 60 new showrooms and manufacturing units in the current financial year and are targeting a revenue increase from $7.36 billion to $9 billion.”
The company’s expansion this year will include entry into two more countries, broadening its global reach to 15 nations. Domestically, Malabar aims to have a presence in 22 Indian states and 3 Union Territories by the end of the fiscal year. To support this growth, the group plans to invest over USD 600 million and expand its workforce to approximately 27,250 team members worldwide.
In addition to its retail and manufacturing growth, Malabar Gold & Diamonds continues to champion ethical business practices and sustainability. Since its founding in 1993, the group has dedicated 5% of its profits to Environmental, Social & Governance initiatives across all regions it operates in. These efforts focus on health, housing, hunger relief, education, women’s empowerment, and environmental conservation.
