LOS ANGELES, CA – A new chapter in American cricket is set to begin with the launch of the Super60 USA Tournament, a domestic franchise league featuring a fast-paced 60-ball format. The inaugural player draft, held on July 4, saw six teams fill out their squads ahead of the tournament’s debut on August 5, 2025.
With eight marquee players already signed, each franchise selected between seven and ten additional players from a mix of international stars and domestic talent.
Notable picks included New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, South Africa’s Wayne Parnell, India’s Varun Aaron, and West Indies’ Lendl Simmons.
The LA Strikers, led by pre-signings Aaron Finch, Isuru Udana, and Ben Dunk, added Gurkeerat Mann, Naman Ojha, and Parvinder Awana.
Morrisville Fighters, who had Harbhajan Singh and Shaun Marsh, boosted their lineup with Colin de Grandhomme, Sheldon Cottrell, and Faiz Fazal.

Rebel Warriors drafted Guptill and Simmons to join a power-packed batting unit with Saurabh Tiwary and Mitchell Johnson.
Chicago Players, anchored by Suresh Raina and Jacques Kallis, focused on bowling strength, picking Parnell, Aaron, and Devendra Bishoo.
Detroit Falcons added Mossaddek Hossain and Ariful Haque to a squad featuring Shakib Al Hasan and Rishi Dhawan.
Washington Tigers selected Dan Christian, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Phil Mustard to join Parthiv Patel, Chris Lynn, and Ravi Bopara.
The Super60 aims to blend global experience with U.S.-based cricket talent, providing a new platform to grow the sport domestically.
