Nikki Haley’s Mother, Raj Randhawa, Dies At 86

CHARLESTON, S.C.- Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has lost her mother, Raj Kaur Randhawa, who died on July 4 at the age of 86.

Haley shared the news in a heartfelt post on X, describing her mother as “feisty and fun, smart and witty, and deeply faithful and generous.” She added, “I’m convinced she left us on the 4th of July because she wanted to go out with a bang… She loved this country and all it gave to her, my dad, and our family for over 50 years.”

Reflecting on her mother’s influence, Haley wrote, “She loved her family more than anything. My strength and determination came from her. I will forever be proud to say I am my mother’s daughter.” She ended the tribute with, “May you forever shine in God’s grace.”

Raj Kaur Randhawa’s death comes just over a year after the passing of her husband, Ajit Singh Randhawa, who died on June 16, 2024.
