Privacy Queen: Mindy Kaling Had A Baby In February!

LOS ANGELES, CA – Mindy Kaling, creator of “Never Have I Ever,” revealed on Instagram on June 24 that she gave birth to her daughter, Anne, in late February.

Kaling, who turns 45 wrote, “She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined.”

She shared photos of her other children, daughter Katherine (6) and son Spencer (3), with the newborn, as well as a pregnancy bump photo and a shot of her eldest joining her in the delivery room, she wrote, “When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life.”

Her surprise announcement comes nearly two months after attending the 2024 Met Gala in a flowing Gaurav Gupta gown that highlighted her figure. USA Today noted that Kaling has maintained privacy during all her pregnancies. She first revealed she was expecting her daughter Katherine during a 2017 appearance on “Today,” and announced the birth of her son Spencer in October 2020 on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

There has been speculation about the biological father of her children, including rumors involving her former “The Office” co-star B.J. Novak. Kaling and Novak have maintained a close friendship , USA Today said, since writing and starring in NBC’s Emmy-winning comedy “The Office,” where they portrayed the on-again, off-again couple Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard.
