
Rachin Ravindra Dominates ICC Champions Trophy, Wins Golden Bat For Most Runs
DUBAI (ANI)- New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra was awarded the Golden Bat for the most runs and named Player of the Tournament for his remarkable performances in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Following his stellar showing in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, Ravindra once again shone on the big stage. In four matches, he accumulated 263 runs at an average of 65.75 and a strike rate of 106.47, including centuries against Bangladesh and South Africa. He also made an impact with the ball, taking three wickets. In the final, Ravindra provided a strong start, scoring 37 off 29 balls, with four boundaries and a six.
India’s Shreyas Iyer finished as the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament, with 243 runs at an average of 48.60, including two half-centuries. His highest score was 79 against New Zealand in the group stage. Iyer also played a crucial role in the final, scoring 48 and sharing a 61-run partnership with Axar Patel.
England’s Ben Duckett placed third with 227 runs in three matches, averaging 75.66, including a top score of 165 against Australia. Joe Root followed closely with 225 runs at an average of 75.00, which included a century and a fifty. Virat Kohli rounded out the top five with 218 runs at an average of 54.50, highlighted by a century against Pakistan. Kohli’s 84-run knock against Australia in the semifinal was another key contribution.
