NEW YORK, NY – Raj Shah, who guided Fox Corp. more toward the Donald Trump mode of politics is out of the media company. His leaving comes after Fox made the massive $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

“Raj brought talent and creativity to his role at FOX. We appreciate his service and wish him the best in his next endeavor,” Fox spokesperson Brian Nick said in a statement.

Shah has not explained why he left the network. He joined Fox Corporation as a senior vice president in 2019, several months after he left the White House after serving Trump, as a deputy press secretary in the White House.

Shah, was serving as senior vice president at Fox Corp., charged with protecting the media company’s image, was based in its Washington D.C. offices. He was one of many executives and hosts whose internal messages were made public in the Dominion defamation lawsuit.

A separate court filing from the case states Shah led the Fox team that told network leadership that Fox News host Neil Cavuto’s actions represented a “brand threat,” after Cavuto told viewers at the time that he could not “in good countenance continue to show you this,” as Trump’s White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany lied about voter fraud.

Other records have shown Shah criticized reporters and commentators who denounced the Trumpian position that voter fraud had taken place or related conspiracy theories.

Media reports say Shah was close to Tucker Carlson, the rabidly right wing commentator whose statements were more rooted in the imaginary than reality and who was fired by Fox after the settlement.
