Rasha Goel Gets Nom For LA Area Emmy

LOS ANGELES, CA – Rasha Goel has been nominated for her work in the Informational Series (more than 50% remote) category for the 2024 Los Angeles Area Emmys. The Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards honor locally produced programs in categories such as Crime and Social Issues, Culture and History, the Arts, Human Interest, Sports, the Environment, and Live and Breaking News Coverage.

Goel’s nominated work, “Pathway Home,” highlights initiatives by Los Angeles County to help the unhoused community. It features personal stories of individuals transitioning from living on the streets to moving into homes.

“Excited to be nominated for producing ‘Pathway Home,’ a County initiative that will reduce unsheltered homelessness in specific communities by helping people living on the streets come indoors and receive the supportive services they need to achieve housing stability and ultimately move into permanent housing,” she posted.

This is her third Emmy nomination. Goel has worked for networks such as CNN, ESPN, Zee TV, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and Disney. She has won the National Association of Telecommunications Officers & Advisors award for her talk show piece on prison reform and has said she, “finds her greatest joy in sharing stories of marginalized communities.”

The Television Academy will host the 76th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards on July 27.
