Ricky Kej Meets President Macron, Discusses Environmental Collaboration
RIYADH (ANI) – Three-time Grammy Award-winning musician Ricky Kej recently met French President Emmanuel Macron during a lunch organized in the president’s honor. The meeting took place while Kej was attending the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Conference, where he also worked on a music video and documentary to raise awareness about land degradation and desertification.
Speaking about the interaction, Kej revealed that he had reached out to President Macron, leading to the invitation. “President Macron introduced me to the honorable Minister of Culture for Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud. We discussed potential collaborations between India and Saudi Arabia through music and our shared ancient cultures, and we brainstormed several ideas,” Kej said.
Reflecting on the memorable encounter, Kej shared, “President Macron even took a selfie with my phone.”
Kej, a passionate environmental advocate, continues to use his global platform to address pressing issues such as climate change and sustainability through music and public engagement.
