
Sanatan Kadakia Building A Steady Presence In Indie Film And Theater

HOUSTON, TX– Sanatan Kadakia, Executive Producer at Hidden Ridge Productions, is gradually establishing himself in the fields of independent cinema and theatrical production. With a background rooted in engineering and information technology, Kadakia’s entry into the entertainment industry began in 2015 as a production assistant. He launched Hidden Ridge Productions in 2018, and by 2020 had shifted his focus to investing in independent film and theater projects.
Born and raised in India, Kadakia developed an interest in film during college, where he worked as a projectionist. His production company now holds credits in several feature films, a Netflix documentary, and a Broadway revival.
One of his more recent projects is the 2025 Broadway revival of The Last Five Years, which opened on April 6 at the Hudson Theatre in New York City. The production features performances by Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren and Grammy Award winner Nick Jonas.
Kadakia’s film credits span multiple genres and include Murder Among the Mormons (2021), a true crime documentary miniseries on Netflix; Scrap (2022), a drama available on Apple TV; and Control (2023), an action thriller starring Kevin Spacey, now streaming on Prime Video.
Other projects include SPITHOOD (2024), a film developed by First Nation writers in Australia, as well as Winter Island (2024), an independently produced suspense film based in Seattle. He has also invested in The Baby in the Basket (2024), the horror/mystery Séance (2024), and an upcoming thriller titled Death Among the Pines.
