Sikhs Celebrate 556th Year At Khalsa Care Foundation

PACOIMA, CA – Sikhs celebrated the 556th year of the Sikh religion at Khalsa Care Foundation here, on March 13.
Hundreds of Sikhs from the local area and beyond gathered to partake in the festivities, which included religious observances and a bountiful array of food and drink
.
Renowned Ragis, or religious singers, performed hymns and delivered talks on the significance of the day. Attendees continuously filed into the Darbar Hall to pay their respects to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, while outside, volunteers served langar and sweetmeats to a steady stream of devotees.
The celebration commenced at 6 pm and continued uninterrupted until midnight, when attendees eagerly showered rose petals upon the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
As the event drew to a close, Ardas was recited to offer gratitude to the Almighty for the abundance bestowed upon the congregation.
