Trump Continues To Shock With Unprecedented Profanity

WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald Trump’s use of profanity and religious rhetoric in warnings to Iran has drawn sharp criticism from across the spectrum of civil society. His unprecedented vulgarity has shocked even his supporters. Social media was rife that on Easter, he had chosen to ignore the principles of the faith.
In a social media post on April 5, Trump warned Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, writing, “Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell,” and concluding with “Praise be to Allah.”
Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, said on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ that such rhetoric undermines U.S. efforts and military personnel. “The president is really failing them,” Khanna said, referring to U.S. troops, while calling for “an immediate ceasefire” and a negotiated settlement involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
Khanna also criticized the tone and approach of the administration’s messaging. “Let me tell you what won’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz: threatening war crimes or bombing indiscriminately power plants, cursing at Iran,” he said, adding that “what we need is statesmanship like President Obama had.”
Dropping in the polls and seeing no end in sight, Trump’s recent statements marked a shift from his earlier optimism about negotiations. According to CNN polling cited in the report, 64 percent of Americans disapprove of military action against Iran, while 62 percent disapprove of his overall job performance.
