Trump Unveils His ‘Gold Card’ Website

WASHINGTON, DC (IANS) – President Donald Trump has officially launched a new government-backed website, trumpcard.gov, signaling the rollout of a “gold card” immigration pathway for wealthy foreigners. This program aims to offer a route to permanent residency in the United States in exchange for a $5 million payment.

Unveiled on June 11, the website currently allows interested individuals to register their details for a waiting list. Trump in his usual style posted, “Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World.”

Marketed as a fast-track option for high-net-worth individuals, the gold card is presented as a more sophisticated alternative to the existing EB-5 investor visa, which Trump described as “green card privileges plus.”

However, direct applications for the gold card are not yet open. The trumpcard.gov homepage instructs users to “Enter your information below to be notified the moment access opens.”

Trump clarified that the gold card does not grant immediate citizenship.

This initiative aligns with Trump’s advocacy for “merit-based immigration,” positioning the new scheme as a strategy to attract global talent and investment while maintaining strict oversight of traditional immigration routes.
