Vivek Oberoi Reflects On The Pain Of Being Shunned, Threatened

BENGALURU –
In a candid interview with Entertainment Live, actor Vivek Oberoi opened up about the difficult period he faced when he received threats from the underworld following a highly publicized feud with influential figures in the industry.

Oberoi described the situation as overwhelmingly intense, revealing that he encountered trolling, public humiliation, and professional sabotage. “Projects were taken away from me after I signed them, and I received threats from the underworld. The police had to provide me with an armed guard and a gun,” he said.

He also shared with Entertainment Live the emotional toll the threats took on his family. “Things went to that extreme. One’s peace of mind can become zero in such situations. I was still okay as I had an armed guard, but what about my mother, sister, and father? I was constantly worried about their safety.”

Oberoi reflected on his personal struggle during this challenging time. “The human experience during such periods is intense and prolonged. If the tough times are brief, healing comes quickly. But if the experience is prolonged or particularly intense, it takes longer to recover. It feels like the wound never fully heals, with the pain often resurfacing, making it difficult to move on.”

Oberoi has been married to Priyanka, the daughter of former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva and renowned dancer Nandini, since 2010. The couple has two children, Vivaan Veer and Ameya Nirvana.
