LOS ANGELES, CA – In a fusion of music and environmental activism, over 30 artists from around the world have come together for a unique Earth Day 2025 project that places nature at the center of sound. Among the compelling voices in the lineup are Indian American singer-songwriter Raveena (Aurora) and Indian pop sensation Armaan Malik, both using their art to elevate the Earth’s voice in a deeply personal way.

The project marks the first anniversary of Sounds Right, an innovative global initiative that treats nature as a recognized artist on streaming platforms. Every time a listener hits play, royalties are directed to frontline conservation efforts. With over 130 million listeners already participating, the initiative has raised $225,000 to date, with a goal of surpassing half a million dollars by the end of the year.

Raveena’s contribution, “Morning Prayer,” stands out as a meditative, healing piece that blends ancestral echoes with raw soundscapes from the natural world. Layered with forest ambience and spiritual undertones, the track invites listeners to see nature not only as a muse but as a living collaborator. “This was about honoring the Earth’s wisdom and my own lineage,” Raveena shared, reflecting on her process of weaving together memory, emotion, and sound.

Armaan Malik’s “What In The World” takes a more pop-forward approach but with equally resonant impact. Drawing from introspection sparked during the pandemic, Malik’s track is a melodic call to consciousness, posing questions about humanity’s role in protecting our planet. “This is a song born from stillness and reflection,” Malik said, “a reminder that we’re all part of something much bigger.”

The Nature’s Collaborations playlist, which features these songs alongside contributions from global talents like Yann Tiersen, SYML, George the Poet, and Madame Gandhi, is available on Spotify and other major platforms. Artists recorded in diverse environments—from rainforests to coastlines—capturing everything from birdsong to the crackle of wildfires to bring Earth’s sound into center stage.

Led by UN Live, the Sounds Right initiative is more than just a streaming campaign. It includes immersive nature walks in Denmark and deep listening workshops in Bogotá, encouraging local communities to tune into the world around them. At its heart, the movement reframes nature not just as a backdrop—but as a vital, creative partner in human expression.
