In the 1900s Sarala Devi, niece of the World Poet Rabindranath Tagore and Sister Nivedita sowed the seeds of freedom fight in India, 15 years before MK Gandhi came to India from S Africa . They were joined by Arabinda Ghosh and militant activities started in right earnest under his leadership, Khudiram Bose 19, mounted the gallows as the first martyr of the freedom fight. In the 1930s bravery of unusual proportions happened in the Town of Midnapore in Bengal, the epicenter of armed revolution in Bengal under thousands of freedom fighters led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and martyred Binay Badal Dinesh. 7 prominent magistrates killers and 200 more died in Midnapore district alone. The bravery of Chittagong Armory Raid has been in the celluloid.

Nehru drove out the commission chair Dr. Ramesh Chandra Majumdar, the most eminent historian in the country, because he refused to accept freedom was obtained by MK Gandhi and his followers only. Subsequently Clement Attlee came to Calcutta after independence and confirmed the British Cabinet gave freedom to India persuaded by the Azad Hind Fauj onslaughts inflicted by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and had nothing to do with and very minimally in getting India freedom.
