Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Told To Stay Focused After Record IPL Season

AHMEDABAD -Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi received words of encouragement and advice from Indian cricket star Virat Kohli following the IPL 2026 final, with Kohli urging the youngster to stay focused on his cricket and continue building on a remarkable season.

A video of the interaction between Kohli and Sooryavanshi after the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium quickly gained attention on social media. The conversation was later shared by Royal Challengers Bengaluru through the franchise’s official channels.

“You have to keep going higher from here. Whatever you’ve achieved is the result of your hard work and belief. Don’t pay attention to who is saying what. Just focus on your batting and yourself. Ek Bihari sab par bhari,” Kohli told the young batter.

The advice came after a breakthrough IPL campaign for Sooryavanshi, who emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest success stories despite Rajasthan Royals falling short of the championship.

Sooryavanshi finished IPL 2026 as the league’s leading run-scorer with 776 runs and capped off his season by winning both the Most Valuable Player and Emerging Player of the Season awards. (IANS)
