Sudesh Bhosale Credits R.D. Burman For His Playback Break

MUMBAI- Veteran playback singer Sudesh Bhosale fondly remembered legendary music composer Rahul Dev Burman, recalling that the iconic composer gave him his first playback singing break in the Hindi film industry.

Sharing a series of rare throwback photographs on social media, Bhosale expressed gratitude to R.D. Burman for giving him his first playback opportunity in the 1986 recording of the film ‘Zalzala’, which was released in 1988.

Alongside the pictures, he wrote, “He gave me my 1st break as a playback singer in the movie ZALZALA in the year 1986. He was one of the best music directors our Hindi film industry has ever seen. Such a versatile composer, singer, musician and above all, a wonderful human being. His music will continue to inspire generations. Miss you Pancham Da.”

R.D. Burman, one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated music composers, was born on June 27, 1939. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he composed music for over 300 films and left a lasting impact on Hindi cinema with his innovative musical style. (IANS)
