Box Office: ‘Coolie’ Dethrones ‘Saiyaara’ On IMDB

MUMBAI- Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Rajinikanth have claimed the top two spots on IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list, unseating the stars of the film Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The shift in rankings follows the highly anticipated release of their new film, ‘Coolie.’

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda had held prominent positions on the list since the release of Saiyaara on July 18, with director Mohit Suri also in a top-three spot. However, the debut of ‘Coolie’ has reshuffled the rankings, with Kanagaraj now at number one and Rajinikanth at number two. The IMDb list is determined by the number of visits to an artist’s page on the app.

Aamir Khan, who made a cameo in ‘Coolie,’ is ranked seventh. The film’s commercial success is reflected in its strong box office performance, with a net opening weekend of ₹194 crore in India.

The release of ‘Coolie’ has also impacted the rankings of other major stars. Actors from War 2, which clashed with ‘Coolie’ at the box office, including Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani, are ranked eighth, 11th, and 15th, respectively.
