Bill Gates Admits To Russian Women, Apologizes For Epstein Links
India-West News Desk
SEATTLE, WA – Bill Gates has formally apologized to the staff of his charitable foundation, addressing his past association with Jeffrey Epstein and acknowledging two extramarital affairs. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, which cited an audio recording from a recent biannual town hall meeting, the Microsoft co-founder spoke candidly about his history with the convicted sex offender. Gates said the association was contrary to the foundation’s values and acknowledged its work is highly reputation-sensitive.
Addressing the recent release of Department of Justice files concerning Epstein, Gates expressed deep regret for introducing foundation executives to Epstein’s circle. “It was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein,” Gates told his employees, offering an apology to those who were drawn into the situation because of his actions. Despite the apology, Gates maintained a firm boundary regarding the nature of his involvement, telling staff that he did nothing illicit and saw nothing illicit. He further clarified that he never spent time with Epstein’s victims or the women in his immediate orbit.
The philanthropist explained that his initial contact with Epstein began in 2011, three years after Epstein had pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in Florida. Gates admitted he had not conducted a background check on the financier at the time and was only vaguely aware of an “18-month thing” that had restricted Epstein’s travel. He noted that his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, had voiced skepticism about the relationship as early as 2013, a caution he chose to ignore. Gates told the assembly that knowing what he knows now about Epstein’s crimes and ongoing behavior makes the decision to overlook those warnings a hundred times worse.
Gates attributed his initial interest in the financier to Epstein’s purported connections with other billionaires and Wall Street figures who could have assisted with foundation fundraising goals. He admitted that this focus on institutional objectives made it easier to feel as though the situation was normalized, despite it being contrary to the foundation’s goals. A spokesperson for the Gates Foundation confirmed to The Wall Street Journal that the founder addressed these matters in detail and took full responsibility for his actions.
