Trump Slams Fox News Anchor, Dubs Ro Khanna A “Sleazebag”

WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News anchor Jacqui Heinrich on May 10 following her interview with Congressman Ro Khanna (D-CA). Trump accused the journalist of failing to challenge the lawmaker during a segment on the network’s program, “The Sunday Briefing.”

Trump called Khanna a “sleazebag” and “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” who lied repeatedly during the interview. The president also criticized Heinrich, saying the absence of “competent rebuttal” from the Fox News anchor undermined the network’s “common sense dialogue.”

Khanna has been pushing for the public release of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“This is why I go on Fox,” the Khanna wrote in response to Trump’s name calling. Khanna said he talks to everyone, including Trump voters, “without hurling insults” as part of an effort to help Democrats win and unite the country.

The on-air clash began when Khanna told Heinrich that Democrats are positioned to reclaim the House majority in November. The Democratic congressman cited rising gas and food prices, dissatisfaction over the war involving Iran, and the Trump administration’s failure to release the Epstein files – a raw and touchy point for the President who is widely perceived to be evading the issue of his role with the disgraced convict.

Trump has previously criticized Heinrich publicly. In a Truth Social post last year, he described the Fox News correspondent as “absolutely terrible” and said she “should be working for CNN, not Fox.”
