Aamir Khan Set To Wed Gauri Spratt In Simple, Family-Only Celebration

MUMBAI-Aamir Khan confirmed he’s getting married to Gauri Spratt on July 5. The actor is keeping things quiet, planning a small ceremony at home with just his family and a few close friends.

During a chat at a press screening for ‘Pritam and Pedro’ on July 2, Aamir said, “July 5 is a very special day for us. It will be a small ceremony with just our families and a few close friends. We’re keeping it simple and celebrating at home. We would love to have everyone’s blessings.”

The couple is keeping the guest list tight, with only about 100 to 150 people invited. Beyond immediate family, that includes a handful of close friends and some familiar names from the film industry, like directors Ashutosh Gowariker and Raj Kumar Santoshi. The day kicks off with a formal registration under the Special Marriage Act, followed by a lunch where they’ll serve some of their favorite dishes.

Gauri, who works in the fashion, beauty, and wellness world, moved to Mumbai from Bengaluru and is mother to a young son. She and Aamir have known each other for a long time, about 25 years, actually. They lost touch for a while, but reconnected years later, and their friendship eventually turned into a relationship.

This will be Aamir’s third marriage. He was married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002, and they have two kids, Junaid and Ira. In 2005, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao. Even though they split up in 2021, they’ve stayed close to co-parent their son, Azad. Aamir has always spoken well of both Reena and Kiran, and he still counts them as important parts of his life.
