Aamir Khan Weds Gauri Spratt As Sons Turn Ring Bearers

MUMBAI – Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in an intimate registered ceremony at his Bandra residence on July 5, surrounded by close family and friends.

Aamir and Gauri’s sons took on the role of ring bearers during the ceremony. Aamir’s 15-year-old son, Azad Rao Khan, from his marriage to Kiran Rao, and Gauri’s son from her previous marriage were seen holding ring boxes as the couple completed the wedding formalities.A video shared by former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan offered a glimpse inside the ceremony, showing Aamir’s children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, clapping as their father took Gauri as his “lawfully wedded wife.”The celebrations continued with Aamir dancing with his bride as filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, politician Raj Thackeray and other guests cheered them on.Pathan congratulated the newlyweds on social media, wishing them “a lifetime of love, happiness, laughter, and togetherness.”The first photograph from the wedding showed Aamir smiling as he signed the marriage papers with Gauri seated beside him. Aamir’s mother, Zeenat Hussain, was also seen in the family photograph.For the ceremony, Gauri wore an intricately embroidered ivory ensemble with statement jewelry, while Aamir opted for a white kurta accessorized with a brooch.The close-knit celebration was also attended by Aamir’s son-in-law Nupur Shikhare, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, actor Elli AvrRam, members of the Ambani family and other guests.Aamir and Gauri have known each other for more than 25 years but became romantically involved only in recent years. Gauri has worked in the fashion and beauty industry and has also been associated with Aamir Khan Productions.This is Aamir’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002. Aamir married Kiran Rao in 2005, and they have a son, Azad.
