Akshay Kumar Tackles Beach Pollution After Ganpati Visarjan
MUMBAI -Bollywood star Akshay Kumar participated in a beach clean-up drive at Juhu beach in Mumbai on September 7, the day after Ganpati Visarjan.
Videos shared on social media show the actor picking up waste left behind after the immersion and placing it in bags with other volunteers. Joining him in the initiative were Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, and BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani.
Speaking at the event, the actor emphasized the importance of public responsibility in maintaining cleanliness. He noted that cleanliness is not just the government’s duty but also that of the public. (IANS)

And then ?? So AK shows up to clean up the beach. Wonderful. A great example. But is that where it stops or will he be an ambassador to promote a Clean Up Bharat (CUB) project ? It’s about high time Indians in India make it their duty to do their part to promote cleanliness all over India. If a person is able to keep his/her home clean, why not their motherland too ? Or does that frame of thought cease to exist the moment they step out of their home ? Forget the herd mentality and be the change. I do hope AK pushes for a clean India or as I call it Clean Up Bharat (CUB)
