Alert Crew Averts Major Accident On ‘The India House’ Set

HYDERABAD (IANS)- A potentially major mishap was averted on the set of the upcoming film ‘The India House’ on the morning of June 12, thanks to the quick thinking and precautionary measures of the crew. Actor Nikhil Siddhartha confirmed that everyone on set was safe after a water tank burst, causing flooding and damaging equipment.

Siddhartha took to X to address reports of the incident, stating, “We are all Safe. Sometimes in our quest to give the best cinematic experience we take risks. Today, we survived a huge mishap thanks to the alert crew and precautions taken. We lost expensive equipment but by God’s grace, there was no human damage. #IndiaHouse.”

The incident occurred during the shooting of an ocean scene at a set near Shamshabad. Sources indicated that one of the water tanks used to store water for the scene unexpectedly burst, leading to the flooding. A video clip showing the flooded set quickly circulated online. While equipment sustained severe damage, sources suggested that at least one assistant cameraman sustained minor injuries.

‘The India House’ is a period film set in pre-Independence London, directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna. The film is produced by Tej Narayan Agarwal and Abhishek Agarwal and is being presented by actor Ram Charan. Its teaser, featuring a newspaper headline “A Blast that set the Thames on Fire,” suggests a story revolving around a forgotten pre-independence incident. Ace cinematographer Cameron Bryson is handling the camera work for the film, which is slated for release in all Indian languages and select foreign languages.
