NEW YORK, NY – Hollywood star Anne Hathaway recently visited Bungalow, the acclaimed New York City restaurant owned by chef Vikas Khanna. The visit turned deeply personal for Khanna, who shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, reflecting on how Hathaway’s film The Devil Wears Prada had provided comfort to his late sister, Radhika, during her battle with Lupus.
Vikas Khanna recounted how Radhika, who passed away on February 28, 2022, found solace in watching The Devil Wears Prada repeatedly while hospitalized. “She loved Anne Hathaway and knew all the dialogues by heart. Somehow, I learned them too. This was her painkiller,” Khanna wrote.
The chef revealed that meeting Hathaway at his restaurant brought back a flood of memories. “Today…every single dialogue and moment of laughter came back to me,” he shared, describing how serving Hathaway became a heartfelt expression of gratitude.
Vikas Khanna also shared a photoshopped image with Hathaway, adding his sister Radhika to the photo. “I know she was there,” he wrote.
Bungalow, opened in March 2024, has quickly become a favorite in New York’s culinary scene.
