LOS ANGELES, CA – On February 22, the One World One Family (OWOF) Foundation’s LA Chapter hosted a transformative Free Dental Services Camp, delivering essential oral care to those in need. The event took place at Tran’s dental facility, showcasing the power of collaboration among dedicated professionals and organizations committed to community service.
At the heart of this initiative was the Punjabi Dental Society, spearheaded by Chairman Dr. Devinderpal Nagra and President Dr. Ranjeev Salwan. Their team of five skilled dentists, alongside OWOF Dental Coordinator Dr. Viral Ukani, worked tirelessly to ensure that underserved patients received top-notch dental care without any cost.
The event benefited from the support of Dr. Kris Dill, Director of the North-West College Dental Assistant Program, and Dr. Quynh Tran, CEO of Tran’s Dental, whose facility and staff of seven provided a welcoming environment for patients. Under the guidance of CNUSD President Dr. Payne Stuart and his bilingual assistant, the camp smoothly coordinated the arrival of ten adult students per hour to assist in patient care.
Adding to the community spirit, the Gurdwara of Riverside, CA, graciously supplied a nourishing lunch for all participants, ensuring that everyone left not only with brighter smiles but also with full stomachs.
“This initiative is a testament to the power of community service,” said Roopa Sharma, President of One World One Family Foundation. “By working together, we can ensure that no one is denied access to basic healthcare needs. Today, we made a real difference—one smile at a time.”
Salwan emphasized the importance of volunteer efforts, stating, “These free dental camps are only possible if we have dentists willing to dedicate their time and services to underserved communities.” Nagra also extended an invitation to fellow members of the Punjabi Dental Society, which boasts over 7,500 dentists, urging them to join in the mission of uplifting underprivileged populations.
